Hyères Festival 2026: European Flax-Linen at the heart of emerging fashion design
At the 41st edition of the International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Accessories in Hyères, held at the Villa Noailles from 15 to 18 October 2026, Spanish designer Brais Albor Rodriguez won the Public Prize of the City of Hyères and received a Special Mention from the Fashion Jury, chaired by Chemena Kamali, Creative Director of Chloé.
Created with the support of the Alliance for European Flax-Linen & Hemp and its member companies, his menswear collection Por mis santos cojones explores the wide range of creative and technical possibilities offered by European Flax-Linen. Linen fabric reminiscent of wool coating, coated Linen, waxed Linen with a paper-like feel and weaving selvedges transformed into fringes: the designer reinterprets this natural fibre in a contemporary menswear wardrobe designed for larger builds.
A partner of the Festival for over a decade, the Alliance supported five of the ten finalists in the Fashion Competition, working with nine certified member companies to facilitate access to materials, innovations and expertise from the European industry.
Another highlight of this edition was the success of four creative Flax-Linen workshops led by Gaëlle Lang Halloo, winner of the City of Hyères Public Prize in 2024. The workshops demonstrated the public's enthusiasm for discovering new creative applications of this familiar material.
