Long-fibre textile Hemp: Hemp4Circularity is shaping the future of the European value chain

Through the European Hemp4Circularity (H4C) project, the Alliance for European Flax-Linen & Hemp is helping develop a competitive, sustainable and locally rooted long-fibre textile Hemp value chain across North-West Europe. Supported by the Interreg North-West Europe programme, the project brings together industry, research organisations and value chain partners to optimise every stage of production, from cultivation to textile applications and recycling solutions.

By implementing pilot actions throughout the value chain, Hemp4Circularity is accelerating the development of a bio-based fibre for fashion, accessories and interior design. Within the project, the Alliance contributes its expertise in environmental footprint assessment, agricultural data collection, communication and industry engagement to support the adoption of textile Hemp across the European textile ecosystem.

The project reflects the Alliance's commitment to advancing innovative natural fibres and strengthening the competitiveness of the European Flax-Linen and Hemp industries.
