General Conditions of Use of the reserved area: Apply for European Flax™ certification

1. Subject

The purpose of these General Conditions of Use (GCU) is to define the terms of access and use of the reserved area ‘Apply for European Flax™ certification’, made available by Alliance for European Flax-Linen and Hemp (‘Supplier’). This space allows companies to submit, modify or track an application for European Flax™ certification via an RFQ (Request for Quotation).

2. Acceptance of GCU

Use of this area is subject to full acceptance of these GCU. The user acknowledges having read them and undertakes to comply with them.

3. Service access

3.1 Registration and access conditions

Access to the reserved area is free of charge and reserved for companies wishing to submit or track an application for European Flax™ certification. Registration and connection are made via magic link or via the professional space made available by the Supplier in connected mode.

3.2 Data required

To create an account and access the service, the user must provide the following information:

  • Last name
  • First name
  • Professional e-mail address

4. Use of Services

Users undertake to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information in their application for European Flax™ certification.
  • Respect the rules of confidentiality and data protection.
  • Not to use the service for fraudulent or illegal purposes.

4.1 Certification application process

The reserved area is used to submit an RFQ (Request for Quotation) for European Flax™ certification.

  • Users can create, save and modify their request before submitting it.
  • Upon submission, they change their RFQ status from ‘Draft’ to ‘Awaiting Validation’ and can add a question or comment for the validator.
  • Once submitted, the request is examined. It can be returned to the user for requests for modifications or additional information.
  • A validated application enables the certification organisation to draw up a European Flax™ certification offer tailored to the company's activities.

5. Responsibilities

5.1 Supplier's responsibility

The Supplier makes every effort to provide a reliable and functional service. However, it may not be held liable in the event of:

  • Temporary or permanent malfunction of the platform.
  • Errors or omissions in the certification process caused by incorrect information provided by the user.
  • Loss of data due to a technical incident beyond its control.

5.2 Responsibility of users

Users are solely responsible for the information they enter on the application form. They undertake not to divulge their access to third parties.

6. Intellectual Property

Users retain ownership of the information they provide as part of their application for certification.

Alliance for European Flax-Linen and Hemp is responsible for the tools and functions made available on this platform to assist companies in their application for certification.

All elements accessible via this platform, including the structure of the forms and the submission and validation tools made available to users, remain the exclusive property of Alliance for European Flax-Linen and Hemp.

The certification process itself is the sole responsibility of the certification organisation.

Users undertake not to reproduce, distribute or share these elements without authorisation.

In addition, once European Flax™ certification has been obtained, the certificate information of certified companies, as well as their contact email address and possibly their website, are published online on the allianceflaxlinenhemp.eu website, in the directory of certified companies, under the ‘Certifications’ heading, to enable companies to be contacted by potential customers.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

The processing of users' personal data is governed by the Supplier's Privacy Policy.

8. Suspension and cancellation of access

The Supplier reserves the right to suspend or cancel access to the reserved area in the event of:

  • Non-compliance with these GCU
  • Suspicious or fraudulent activity
  • A request for deletion from the user

9. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution

These GCU are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be preferred before any legal action is taken.

10. Modification of CGU

The Supplier reserves the right to modify these GCU at any time. Users will be informed of these changes and must accept the new conditions in order to continue to use the service when they log on to the area.
