Linen spirit Spring Summer 2026
Nehera - Tagwalk

Drawing on the expertise of its spinners, weavers and knitters members’, the Alliance is working to promote ever greater innovation in textiles.
With its finger on the pulse of the various trades and skills involved, and its finger on the pulse of market trends, the Alliance develops and shares seasonal themes to inspire the companies in the sector and to nurture the collective promotion of their innovations and creative developments.
Each season, this theme will be the main theme at trade shows, on the Linen Dream Lab platform and on the Alliance website.

Linen with character

This season, linen is arousing curiosity! The proposals are strong, visible and tactile. Colours vibrate, touches are eloquent, and the ‘hands’ have a temper: fluid and fresh or compact and supple, they magnify the plant naturalness and the fibre proven comfort.

The weights and densities are assertive in their extremes, abandoning the average measure. Fabrics are tight and intense on one side, while their structures are airy on the other. Lightness inspires a featherweight wardrobe, detached from the body, cultivating softness and softness. Transparency amplifies the ‘breathable’ properties of linen.

Colour boosts the energy of the material

Thanks to its dye affinity, linen absorbs and sublimates colour. It becomes more beautiful as it develops a patina, encouraging bold ventures away from the classic linen colours of white, cream and neutrals. Jackets, summer coats and ‘colour block’ shirts bring the silhouette to life, with punchy details or wild total looks.

Linens that cool like a breeze

With their functional thermoregulatory properties, linens are at their best in extremely light fabrics and airy structures. With their controlled transparency, oscillating between blurred veils and openwork structures, these textiles act like real ‘natural air-conditioners’. They offer optimum comfort, particularly in the heat of summer. The patterns of the dyed wovens play with Chinese shadows to create subtle effects. Transparency to work with, like a cocoon of freshness.

Refined precision in detail

Attention to detail is the hallmark of this spring-summer 2026 season. Subtly worked, these linens are less simple than they look. Stripes and checks, airy designs, gauzes, fancy knits, jacquards and meticulous dobby work for shirts and polo shirts with a touch of modern romance. For both men and women. These finely crafted textiles reflect all the expertise of the Alliance's spinners, weavers and knitters, and magnify the natural qualities of European linen.

Delicately washed linens

The skilful washing methods, gentle and respectful of the fabric, reveal the extraordinary beauty of patinated linens. They soften and round out the textiles, giving them a worn-in look. These gentle treatments inspire fresh, poetic sportswear, perfect for a summer of escape. From shirts to outerwear, ease and softness are the order of the day.

Light linen

Sparkling, icy, silky, technical, the light invites itself onto the surface of linen.
Fleeting reflections and shimmers illuminate the linens in their natural state. Satins reflect a pale, smooth light, while faux plains come alive with micro-sparkles.
Canvas is coated with metallic or waxed finishes. These technical additions sometimes go as far as providing real rain protection.
Linens are casual and precious, their appeal irresistible!

The expressive touch of linen

Here, the aim is to magnify the quality of the fibre and pay tribute to its naturalness, without caricaturing it. The emphasis is on the feel of linen at your fingertips, for suits and summer coats. The collections feature 100% highly tactile linens, made with ultra-fine, high-twist yarns. These creations offer a dry, dynamic feel or evoke the sensation of crepe grain. The structures of the weaves create small tactile reliefs, giving them character. Far from cold and disembodied, this linen has body and spirit!

Textures Lin PE2026

Contemporary fluidity and vivacity

Work is continuing to define a new, highly contemporary fluidity that is both supple and invigorating. Blends with viscose, lyocell or even silk provide a controlled elasticity that invites comfort for multi-purpose and functional garments, combining a chic spirit with a sporty touch. These fibre and filament combinations accentuate fluidity and cool the touch. Soft extensibility, certainly not sheathing, amplifies the feeling of ease.

Spring-Summer 2026 celebrates European Flax-Linen and Hemp in all their richness. Innovative, elegant and practical, their different textures continue to surprise and seduce. The materials inspire softness and softness. Resolutely timeless, these plant fibres are definitely looking to the future.
