DELTRACON - Belgium

Founded in 1990, Deltracon is a Belgian family business specialising in the weaving of top-of-the-range Flax-Linen fabrics for furniture and trimmings.

The company combines responsible production with respect for the cultural heritage of Flax Linen and local know-how in Belgium and Europe.

The company is renowned for its core business of window coverings, curtains and net curtains, as well as seat coverings and household linen.

Its design team is constantly researching new techniques: specific dyes, coating varieties and innovative finishes. In 2009, Deltracon acquired Flanders' Trimmings, and in 2018, Van Maele, thus broadening its expertise.

Notes: Linen and wool or alpaca blends. Structured weaves, blurred with mineral colours. Elaborate semi-transparencies, gauzes and openwork textures.

TESSITURA ENRICO SIRONI - Italy

Tessitura Enrico Sironi, an Italian weaver based in Gallarate, has been producing high-quality fabrics since 1892.

Specialising in natural fibres, in particular Flax-Linen, the company develops and produces textiles for furniture, decoration, accessories, clothing and household linen.

The company also develops fabrics for technical and industrial applications. While the focus is on pure Linen, the company also offers fabrics blended with other fibres, in single or double widths.

Committed to excellence, it offers customised solutions, combining quality and expertise.

Notes: Deceptively raw weaves with a soft, supple feel, two-tone, geometric or floral jacquards, an accent on the herringbone.

Salon Proposte - Alliance / LIBECO Masters of Linen™ Libeco

LIBECO - Belgium

Libeco was created through the merger of two Belgian weaving companies: Libeert, founded in 1864, and Lagae, founded in 1858. The company is located near the Lys, the emblematic river of Belgian Flanders and the historic Flax-Linen region. Today, the group includes the Libeco weaving mill and the Lambrecht Linen spinning mill.

A specialist in top-of-the-range Linen, Libeco offers thousands of references for decoration, fashion and technical uses. The weaver's added value is reflected in its variety of weights, creative weaves, innovative finishes and highly sought-after colour palette.

Libeco has been an official supplier to the Court of Belgium since 2006 and has been certified carbon neutral since 2013.

While the company's motto is ‘Believe in Linen’, it is also involved in the European Hemp4Circularity programme alongside the Alliance to support the development of a Hemp textile industry.

Notes: Graphic two-tone fancy weaves, thick and fluffy Linen/wool or alpaca.

MARTINELLI GINETTO - Italy

In 1891, Luigi Martinelli, heir to a textile family from Val Gandino, founded his weaving company, which became one of the most prestigious in the sector.

The company expanded rapidly in the 1960s, diversifying its production, notably with the introduction of Jacquard fabrics in the 1970s.

Today, Martinelli Ginetto excels in three areas where Flax-Linen is combined with other fibres:
− Fancy yarns for furnishings, clothing and technical uses
− Jacquard and plain double-width fabrics for furnishings, bed linen and table linen, in the residential and contract sectors
− Finishing on fine fabrics including flame retardant treatment and an exclusive know-how: digital printing for panoramic textile wall coverings.

Notes: Fancy weaves as if enlarged with a magnifying glass, delicate veils, ‘‘vintage’’ finishes.

Linen Trends : When lifestyle comes into its own

Today more than ever, the home is becoming both a refuge and a reflection of our tastes, with a subtle balance between personal touches and more controlled staging.
As curators of our own interiors (and exteriors), we draw on our personal memories gleaned over the years, our personal tastes and aspirations for travel (both real and imagined), with a touch of vintage thrown in for good measure.

The boundaries between craft and design are blurred, celebrating the work of materials such as Flax-Linen, wood, glass and ceramics. The objects and furniture enhance the beauty of the gesture and tend towards the grandeur of the unique creation, with the ambition of durability and narrative.
Inspired by Brutalist architecture and design, Flax-Linen evokes a mineral-minimal universe with granite textures, black and white faux plains, concrete greys and softly vibrating tweeds.

Colour takes pride of place with graphic two-tone jacquards and colour block plains to liven up interiors and exteriors. Colours range from sparkling brights to soft stonewashed tones and muddled/weathered neutrals for cushions, rugs and sofas that can be arranged like modernist canvases.

In the world of intimacy, comfort is king when it comes to encouraging lazy relaxation. Homewear and Home are making the most of their connections, with wool or mohair blends, wadding, soft materials for quilting, plaids in large knits or as cosy as cuddly toys, and generous, round Flax-Linen velvets to curl up in.

The lightness of Flax-Linen veils and sheers is omnipresent, adorned with intricate details, open-worked interlacing, transparent gauze motifs, small pleats and meticulous crepes.
