A new website aimed at all players and lovers of European flax and hemp
Today’s period of deep transformation, both demanding and inspiring, has opened up an entire world of new opportunities for European Flax and Hemp. It has inspired us to wonder about how we can create and innovate to promote current and future societal, environmental and economic growth.
The Alliance for European Flax-Linen & Hemp (formerly CELC) has over 15 years of experience on these issues. We have broken new ground and we have learned. We have placed these challenges at the heart of our path of improvement and transformation in order to anticipate and support new consumer aspirations and regulatory changes.
The new location is intended for all fans and professionals working with European Flax and Hemp. It presents an invaluable opportunity to learn about the latest developments in our fibres, flax professions and expertise. You can learn about experts’ perspectives on creation and innovation as well as our textile markets : fashion, lifestyle, high performance technical materials and co-products valorisation. As the only reference for professionals in our European industry, the space also provides various tools (directories, sourcing, etc.), analyses and scientific and economic studies which we use for continued improvement. It tells the story of our fibres’ remarkable properties, about the industry’s strategic projects and everything related to our certifications European Flax™ and Masters of Linen™, which underpin our legitimacy.

We have always believed that innovation and environmental protection require a scientific approach to evidence and rigour when it comes to language. We keep this guidance in mind as we focus on four key values: teamwork, connecting tradition and innovation, cultivating respect for people and planet, and maintaining our focus on scientific evidence. We wrote these pages with this idea in mind, hoping to share our passion for these fibres and to turn European Flax and Hemp into the most preferred fibres worldwide.
