As part of the professional trade shows Première Vision and Milano Unica, the Alliance for European Flax-Linen & Hemp presented its new stand with the contribution of its members specializing in biocomposite materials.

Flax-Linen Composite materials

Two specialists in composite flax, EcoTechnilin and Bcomp, two companies that are members of the Alliance, joined forces with designers Céline Thibault and Géraud Pellottiero to design the Alliance's new stand. Selected for their craftsmanship, the biocomposite materials inspired their creativity, enhancing the authenticity of the Linen fibre for a "from field to podium" experience.

Alliance's members expertise in biocomposites

Part of the décor of the Alliance's new stand at the trade shows uses panels made from 100% bio-sourced flax fibre.

EcoTechnilin:

The expertise of the French company EcoTechnilin lies in the development and manufacture of innovative composite materials designed from plant fibres such as Linen, Hemp, and jute. The company stands out for its commitment to sustainable development and its wide range of applications that meet the specific requirements of each customer.

On the Alliance's stand, we were able to notice panels made of Kairlin®, developed and supplied by EcoTechnilin. Made from Linen, both rigid, aesthetic, and recyclable, these panels are part of a sustainable development approach. They constitute a significant alternative for signage or furniture applications.

Bcomp:

Bcomp is a Swiss company specializing in the development and manufacture of durable and lightweight composite materials. The company excels in creating innovative composites based on natural fibres, including flax fibres.

The panels made of ampliTex™ and powerRibs™, based on natural fibres, which Bcomp develops, are the other biocomposites that inspired the designer duo for the realization of the Alliance's stand.

AmpliTex™ and powerRibs™ are two technologies for reinforcement and lightening that contribute to reducing environmental impact. They also offer excellent vibration damping and give a unique style to high-performance applications.

Whether it's the bio-sourced materials developed by EcoTechnilin or Bcomp, most are intended for use in various industrial sectors, including automotive, aerospace, construction, sports and leisure, as well as in thermal and acoustic insulation, and even aerospace.
