Back to: LINEN EXPERIENCE at Première Vision Paris

April 01, 2026

At Première Vision Paris, the Alliance unveiled a new space entitled LINEN EXPERIENCE. Designed as an immersive journey into the material - from plant to finished product - it offered creators, designers, buyers and fashion brand teams a fresh, hands-on perspective. Here’s a closer look.

Positioned opposite the Alliance’s stand at Première Vision, LINEN EXPERIENCE was conceived as both an educational and showcase platform. It highlighted what makes European flax unique: a demanding yet responsible agricultural model, precise processes, and highly specialised expertise. Through a clear, structured and pedagogical layout, the space made the fundamentals of the flax value chain accessible to fashion and textile professionals. The Alliance has made the fundamentals of the European flax industry - the world’s global producer of flax - accessible to professionals in the fashion and textile sectors.

Visitors were invited to explore the material in its many forms - from raw plant matter to finished goods - including straw, fibres, shives, slivers, yarn cones, fabrics and garments. They could then follow the key stages of flax cultivation and transformation: growing, retting, scutching, hackling, spinning, weaving or knitting. Beyond the processes themselves, the installation shed light on the crafts, skills and regions that shape the fibre.
The Alliance also presented the tools it develops for brands and markets, notably the Masters of FLAX FIBRE™ and Masters of LINEN™ certifications, which guarantee the European origin of fibres and sound practices.
This narrative approach not only showcased specific techniques but also revealed their often-overlooked added value within the final product.

Over the three days of the show, live demonstrations and direct exchanges enabled visitors to meet European farmers and scutchers who are members of the Alliance. Easily recognisable by their “Blue Aprons”, they embodied the reality of the sector and illustrated the close link between production regions, agricultural practices and measured environmental performance. The space also hosted the “Linen Young Leaders” - a new generation of committed entrepreneurs and professionals from the network, identifiable by their “Orange Aprons”. They represent a forward-looking vision, actively contributing to innovation and the long-term structuring of the industry.

By bringing together experience, heritage and innovation, LINEN EXPERIENCE provided brands with practical insights into the material they use - helping them better understand its creative potential as well as its technical and environmental performance. In doing so, it equipped them with the tools to build a more informed and differentiated narrative, from field to finished product.
