Proposte brings together designers, editors, interior architects and specifiers for three days around an exceptional textile offering on the Alliance's booth, Ala Lario, Serra Platani.

Within this premium setting, European linen stands out as a material of choice. Valued for its natural origin, functional and environmental performance, and rich creative potential, it continues to attract a growing number of industry professionals.

Nine certified members were present at Proposte, including six weavers certified as Masters of LINEN™: B&T Textilia (Belgium), Deltracon (Belgium), Libeco (Belgium), Martinelli Ginetto (Italy), Nelen & Delbeke (Belgium) and Tessitura Enrico Sironi (Italy).

Linen in the home: light, transparency and materiality

Textiles designed to filter light

In this environment focused on the interiors of tomorrow, linen expresses itself in multiple ways. The press release highlights curtains and sheers designed to filter light with precision, to veil without weighing down spaces, and to support modular interior layouts.

Open weaves, lightweight constructions, gauzes and fine batistes enable greater transparency.
Slub effects add grain and texture to fabrics, creating a vegetal aesthetic that interacts directly with light.

A natural material enhancing interior comfort

Natural finishes, washed effects and pale sunlit tones define a “refuge home” aesthetic. Linen contributes to thermal comfort thanks to its thermoregulating properties.

In contrast, for seating, throws and cushions, textiles become denser, combining visual roughness with tactile intensity. Coarse yarn weaves, wool blends and characterful hemp enrich the range of applications for interior decoration.

Nine certified members representing the European value chain

At its stand, the Alliance highlights nine certified members, illustrating the vitality and innovation of the European flax and textile hemp sector.

Three Masters of FLAX FIBRE™ certified actors

3 additional certified companies:

  • Clerici Tessuto & C.
  • Fasac 1955
  • Ratti

These actors represent excellence at the upstream stage of the value chain, from fibre production to transformation, with a strong focus on quality and traceability.

Certifications and traceability: a structured and transparent sector

Strengthened standards

The Alliance continues to develop its certification framework through the evolution of Masters of LINEN™ and Masters of FLAX FIBRE™ standards. These certifications guarantee European origin and full traceability, from fibre to finished product.

The European Linen “Masters of” certifications now embody a strong, shared identity. They guarantee controlled European production, based on origin and traceability, as well as technical properties.

  • The origin and traceability certification is now Masters of FLAX FIBRE™ and sees its crop scutching standard (first stage of transformation) enhanced with new audits on claims and commitments concerning sustainable practices.
  • The historic Masters of LINEN™ certification, a symbol of European textile excellence, keeps its name but adopts a new logo, a new baseline and a reinforced promise, and develops a standard focusing on both the company and the product.

A digital traceability platform

A digital traceability platform, developed with TextileGenesis™ (Lectra Group), complements this framework. It enables each stage of production to be tracked through a secure blockchain-based system.

This solution provides brands with an additional tool to enhance transparency, compliance and supply chain management.

Innovation and resources: supporting professionals year-round

A dedicated sourcing platform

Throughout the year, the Alliance also promotes its digital platform, Linen & Hemp Dream Lab, an online resource showcasing over 1,400 products. A strategic extension of the trade fair, it provides global professionals with streamlined access to the latest innovations in linen and hemp.

Through its participation in Proposte 2026, the Alliance for European Flax-Linen & Hemp reaffirms the central role of certified European linen in the high-end home textile sector.

Curtains, sheers, upholstery fabrics, throws and cushions: linen demonstrates its ability to combine aesthetics, comfort and traceability. This edition highlights a structured, innovative European industry committed to promoting its expertise on the international stage.
